Olivia wanted to celebrate the transition of going from her 20’s to her 30’s and the change in who she was to who she is today.

My 30th birthday was coming up and I really wanted to gift myself something special and something a little different. I wanted to do something for myself where I had a memory to remember myself at this age as it’s a big milestone.
This photoshoot was important to me because it represented who I was at heart through an art form which is different and quite special.
You don’t get many gifts especially to yourself that you can look back on think oh wow what a milestone that was, such a special time in my life and this is who I am and have it captured in shots and framed on my wall!

I am excited as I move through changes in my life and my body changing too. These are memories being created to see myself in this moment and to remember myself as a beautiful person inside and out.
When I first walked in to the Zest studio I was a little nervous and overwhelmed as I hadn’t been in such a beautiful studio before but the women were just so welcoming and absolutely wonderfully hospitable to me.
They made me so comfortable in the shoot.
There was no pressure to do anything I didn’t want to do. I got to choose what I wanted to wear, what style and had all the help to pose what felt comfortable to me. Jessica, my photographer was sweet and really wonderful at helping me pose, giving me advice to get the best affect in each shot so I looked and felt my best in every pose.
I was on a high!
I was really getting into it and felt comfortable to actually do a few nude shots and a Boudoir shoot.
“Honestly, when the photoshoot ended, I didn’t want to stop! It was a lot of fun.”
I didn’t expect it at all but it had tremendously lifted my spirits and confidence in myself. The ladies really lifted me up and spoke so highly of me, even though they didn’t know me they told me how beautiful I was. Even though I was on the heavy side of my weight and I truly felt like I do deserve to feel beautiful despite what anyone said about me! And so should everyone, not just in the photos but all the time in themselves. It sparked a light in me and touched my heart how sweet and caring these beautiful women were.

After the shoot seeing myself in the photos, I was truly shocked at myself. I never thought I was very photogenic but I do love having photos taken of me. It was really hard to choose as there’s so many photos taken and they are such amazing photographers!! Every shot captured a moment that you could see me and my personality through those photos which was very touching and exactly what you want in a photoshoot.
“I have done a few photo shoots in my life but nothing compares to this one as everyone was just so genuine and really made me feel comfortable in myself and showed me an experience that I won’t forget!”
If you are thinking of doing your own boudoir photography experience - 1000% do it!
Even if you are worried about others judging you for being conceited, who cares! This isn’t for them, it’s for you! And you are going to feel amazing after you do! You’ll have an experience that you look back on and think wow I really am beautiful and this is who I am. This is what I looked like at this time in my life. If you’re doing a shoot with family or a partner, even better these photos will give you a lifetime of memories. Worth every penny!
